This 2-bedroom apartment to rent on Stephanstrasse is stylish. The front door opens into a vestibule with a shoe rack and branches off into the open-plan kitchen, living and dining room to the left. It’s a ground floor apartment with courtyard views all around. The first bedroom is directly in front of the front door. It’s cozy and warm with a double bed and wardrobe. The second bedroom is accessible through the living space. It’s significantly larger with two windows, as well as a desk and chair. The bathroom is in a common area for all, and includes a shower cabinet, as well as a laundry machine. There are two tall windows in the living room, which give ample natural light to the dining and kitchen areas. The kitchen is fully equipped and modern, and the rest of the space is furnished with a comfy sofa, 6-seat table and TV.
Although Moabit is largely a peaceful residential neighborhood, you’ll find a good number of cocktail lounges within a 10-minute walk. There are also a few bakeries and restaurants nearby. Of course, if you prefer a more international flavor, then you can just hop on the S-Bahn or U-Bahn. Both stations are just a 10-minute walk away, and trains can get you to downtown Berlin in about 12 minutes. Fritz-Schloss Park is a beautiful spot to take a walk, but you’re also just minutes from the canals. Nordhafen, which is 15 minutes away, is a great spot to practice your landscape photography. And on the way home, you can stop in at Aldi or Lidl for groceries.
What we liked the most
- Practical modern furnishings make the apartment feel open and breezy.
- There is a washing machine on the premises. A huge bonus!
- You’ll find lots of grocery stores and some lovely local cafés and cocktail lounges nearby.
- The parks and canals are great spots to stroll, practice photography or write.
