This small but gorgeous 1st-floor studio apartment to rent on Mariannenplatz is perfect whether you’re a student or a professional. The space is minimal but tastefully decorated, with a comfortable sofa that opens into a double bed near a small standing-room balcony overlooking the tree-lined plaza. The single-wall kitchen is fully equipped, with a ceramic hob, toaster oven, and lots of storage space. The bathroom is equally modern and features a walk-in shower with a glass door.
Your studio apartment is located in the center of the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district, not far from where the Berlin Wall used to stand. In fact, all it takes is a 30-minute stroll, and you can visit Checkpoint Charlie, the Jewish Museum or, across the Spree, Alexanderplatz. In your more immediate vicinity, you will find some world-renowned music venues: the famous SO36 is only 6 minutes from your front door, for example. There is also a movie theatre just across the plaza, plenty of restaurant options, and the historic Markthalle Neun, with lots of food vendors and shops, is just 2 blocks away.

- The Görlitzer Bahnhof U-Bahn station, on line U1, is 10 minutes from your front door. Kottbusser Tor is slightly farther, an 11-minute walk away, but connects to both U1 and U8.
- The Berlin Ostbahnhof railway station is just 12 minutes on foot from your apartment, across the Spree.
- There are a few bus stops within a 3-minute walk radius that mostly serve route 140, but you can also take a 5-minute walk to Köpenicker Straße, where you'll find 5 different routes, including a night bus.
