Absolutely gorgeous 1-bedroom apartment is available to rent near to the canal and just a 6-minute stroll into the city centre. The apartment has been designed with lots of windows in each room where light streams in. It has beautiful wooden floors and vintage furniture for a classic look. The large lounge and very large bedroom-study are on one floor and then you go down the wooden stairs for the spacious kitchen with dining table and beautifully-tiled bathroom with a rain shower. Off the kitchen is a small balcony where you could dry your clothes.
Although this is a busy neighbourhood, the apartment is in a quiet street with parking. Really though, a car isn't necessary because it's such a short walk to Brussels city centre plus 6 minutes to Sainte-Catherine metro station. In the next block is a lovely little park, Plaine de Jeux Quai a la Houille, for a relaxing read or you can stroll by the canal, just 3 minutes from home. This is a charming neighbourhood with plenty of cafes, shops as well as the elegant Klein Kasteeltje building. With the city centre being within striking distance, you are spoilt for choice for shops, restaurants and things to do.
What we liked the most
- The rooms are nice and bright because of the numerous large windows.
- The combination of vintage furniture with modern equipment makes for the perfect decor.
- The bedroom is huge! There's a desk for a study area plus a large bed.
- The landlord (and his pet fish) live in the same building. He can help you get to know your way around!
