Spotahome's opinion

This 3rd floor 1-bedroom apartment to rent on the corner of Rue Beckers with Rue de Haerne is a fabulous space in a relaxing neighborhood. Walking through the front door, you’ll first enter into a small hallway with a separate toilet. A doorway opens to the combined living, dining and equipped kitchen area. The equipped kitchen is partially hidden by a low wall, and the rest of the space is furnished with a funky red sofa, buffet with a TV, coffee table and 4-seat dining table. Sliding doors to the balcony allow a lot of natural light into the space, but the spacious bedroom, with an ensuite bath and laundry room, gets plenty of sunshine too.

Etterbeek may be a quiet residential area, but it doesn’t mean it’s lacking excitement. The Free University of Brussels is only a 15-minute walk from your apartment, so there are a few great hotspots nearby. Within a 20-minute walk, you’ll discover a bowling alley, health club, shops, a few local restaurants, and at least three supermarkets. For those not into the more typical clothing shops, there is a second-hand store just 7 minutes away. Although your apartment is a little outside the tourist zone, the area is well connected, so you can easily find your way downtown.

What we liked the most

  • The apartment is comfortable, spacious and gets lots of natural light.
  • You can hang out on the balcony on warm summer nights, or winter nights too!
  • The University is just a hop away.
  • You have to go a little farther for more variety, but there are some great little cafés and restaurants nearby.
