Spotahome's opinion

This fantastic studio apartment to rent on Rue de la Croix de Fer is on the 1st floor. It actually feels more like a 1-bedroom apartment, but there aren’t doors between the kitchen, living and bedroom areas. It’s spacious and bright, and the bathroom is the one spot that does have a door. The kitchen and dining room share a sunny spot with large windows and a balcony. The living room is chic and has a decorative fireplace. Wood floors flow through this space into the comfy double bedroom. And there is a washing machine and another decorative fireplace in the bathroom.

Ixelles is south of the city center. However, you’re only a 20-minute tram ride from downtown. Your new neighborhood has a few tourist sites. Horta Museum is just a 2-minute walk away. Abbaye de la Cambre is a little farther out, but it’s worth the walk to explore the neighborhood and then enjoy a bit of green space. Closer to home and just one street over, you’ll find dozens and dozens of restaurants. There is also a used clothing store nearby, as well as a wine store and a couple of supermarkets.

What we liked the most

  • It’s a very spacious apartment.
  • There is a wonderful furnished balcony.
  • Wood floors and decorative fireplaces give the space warmth and charm.
  • There is a shower stall in addition to a bathtub.
