Spotahome's opinion
This 25 m² studio apartment has been recently renovated and is available for rent on Rue Berckmans. The studio has a large living area, with a slightly separated kitchen leading off it. The kitchen is a fantastic find in a studio, with lots of storage space, and a full oven and stove. The living area has high ceilings and tall windows that allow in a lot of light. It is spacious, welcoming, and well furnished, with a double sofa bed, a small dining table / desk, and a flat screen TV, plus a large wardrobe.
You will be living in an area on the border between the Ixelles and Saint-Gilles districts. Quite central in the city, this area hosts a metro station as well as tram lines, and there are loads of local shops and cafes for you to explore in the area. The Metro can bring you to the European Quarter for work in just 2 stops, or if you study, tramline 94 will bring you direct to Université Libre de Bruxelles. From there it is also just a short walk to Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
What we liked the most
- We love the airy feel of the apartment, making it feel a lot larger than its 25 m².
- It is rare to find a full kitchen in a studio!
- Local transport is great for either professionals or students.
- The area is really well supplied by local amenities - positively heaving with shopping and restaurants.
