This studio apartment to rent on Rue Knapen is huge, and features big windows that let in plenty of natural light. You enter into a vestibule with a closet, a bit of extra storage shelving and two doorways. To the right is a modern bathroom with a shower stall. The washing machine is also located here, and you can dry your clothes on a drying rack. The other door leads into the open concept studio. The 4-seat dining table and mini living room, furnished with a loveseat and a TV in a shelving unit, are close to two big and beautiful windows, while the double bed and a work desk with a chair are along the opposite wall. Closer to the entrance is the kitchen. It also has a smaller window and is fully equipped with a stove, oven, fridge and other smaller appliances.
If you love art deco and art nouveau architecture, you’ll love walking through the streets of Schaerbeek. Around every corner, you’ll find a new and interesting building or house to marvel over. If clocks fascinate you, then head over to the Clockarium Museum. It’s only 4 minutes away, and there's a supermarket just down the road from it. Your apartment is located near the center between several parks: Josaphat, Cinquantenaire, Schuman, Georges Henri Park (10 minutes away), and Roodebeek Park (15 minutes away). It will take you around 20 minutes to get to most of them on foot, but they’re beautiful, peaceful green spaces where you can enjoy the fresh air. On the nearby Georges Henri and Roodebeek avenues, you will find several shops and supermarkets, and the CEE and the Schuman train station are 20 minutes away.
What we liked the most
- The large space and huge windows make this studio a fabulous find.
- There are three beautiful parks nearby, including Cinquantenaire and Josaphat Park, inaugurated in 1904.
- While there aren’t a lot of restaurants close to the apartment, there are two supermarkets within a 10-minute walk.
- Buses and trams are just minutes from your door.

- This apartment is on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator.

- The closest bus stop, just 3 minutes away on Levie, serves lines 29 and N05, easily connecting you to downtown at any time of day or night.
- The Josephine-Charlotte, Gribaumont and Montgomery metro stations, all on Line 1, are roughly 15 minutes away. If that's too much of a walk, you can also hop on the tram (numbers 7 and 25 are just 5 minutes away) and take it down Boulevard Brand Whitlock to Gribaumont.
- You're also a 15-minute walk away from the Merode railway station, which offers multiple suburban connections.
- The Schuman train station is about 20 minutes away on foot.
- The Diamant tram and bus stop can be reached in 5 minutes. From here you can access lines 12 and 21 which provide access to Zaventem airport, Luxembourg station, and Schuman metro station.
