Uxbridge Road is London at its very best.
Hungry? Sample some traditional British fare at the Defectors Weld, the best Chinese food in the city at Shikumen, or Damascan delicacies at Abu Zaad; it’s a fine spot to dine. The road ends at a lovely park where you can enjoy the sunshine during the warmer months.
But you won’t love this...
The area is predominantly residential, and it’s a bit of a journey to reach the hip nightclubs and cool vintage boutiques in East Central London. So, if you’re a trendy young party animal, we suggest an EC postcode rather than a WC.
How do I get around
The area is well served by the Underground, with the Hammersmith & City, Circle, Central, and District lines all passing through.
Will I like it here?...
If you love live music and intimate gigs, we think you’ll love it. Bush Hall served as a soup kitchen during the second World War, and was once used as a rehearsal space for The Who! Today you can enjoy performances by both well-known acts and up-and-comers.

Don’t get Bush Hall confused with Bush Theatre, but make sure you visit both. The latter is famous for being one of London's best venues for new theatre.

Join the locals at Loftus Road!
It’s home to Queens Park Rangers, who currently play in The Championship (England’s second division). It’s not Premiership football, but there’s a certain old-school charm to the second division, and many prefer it.

Look no further than Westfield London. Restaurants, luxury boutiques, all the big brands, and a cinema where you can catch all the latest blockbusters.
