This simple 1-bedroom apartment for rent on Rue de Loos is on the 2nd floor. It’s an unassuming and cozy space with tile floors. The front door opens into a small, functional kitchenette. There isn’t an oven, but it does include a washing machine, stove, and fridge. The double bedroom, which has a bright window, is directly in front of the door. Two large windows in the living room overlook the street. It’s furnished with a sofa bed and shelving. There is also a table that you can use for dining or a desk. The bathroom, which has a tub, is accessible from here.
The Wazemmes neighborhood is one-of-a-kind. Locals certainly do things their own way, which makes for an eclectic and ceaselessly fascinating spot to live. On Rue d'Isly, just down the street from your new home, you can grab a bike to ride around town. There is a supermarket and pharmacy there, too. When open, head to the Wazemmes Market. It’s a carnival of stalls serving up North African food, as well as other goods. Walk 5 minutes beyond the market and shop until you drop on Rue Léon Gambetta!
What we liked the most
- The washing machine is very handy!
- There is a grocery store just a few minutes away.
- The area is multicultural with lots of North African restaurants and pastry shops.
- The Lille Catholic University is a 20-minute walk away.
