There is a room for rent in this 2-bedroom apartment with a live-in landlady on Calçada das Lajes in São Jõao. The kitchen is bright and charming with all the equipment you need to cook as well as a 4 person dining table. The shared bathroom is quite spacious with baby-blue tiles on the walls and a shower/bath combo. Although there is no shared living room there is a large rooftop terrace, likely to be beautiful and sunny in the spring and summer.
This apartment is located in a stunning part of Lisbon near the sea. Just a short walk from a large train station and many bus stops, you are well connected to all parts of the city and other cities in Portugal. There are museums and theatres nearby for a slice of culture, as well as restaurants and cafes if you need a bit of socialising.
Room description
Bedroom 1 is a colourful room with a single bed. It is very spacious with a large couch, dining table and a small TV. There is storage space in a reasonably sized chest of drawers and the shelving will be replaced with a standalone wardrobe by the time you have moved in.
What we liked the most
- The nearest doctor is 2 minutes away if you ever get sick.
- If you need to go grocery shopping, there is a Lidl within walking distance.
- Need a night out? There's a popular nightclub on the waterfront near this apartment.
- The kitchen walls have beautiful decorative tiles.
- There is a desk in the kitchen area which could be great for a student needing to study or for someone who works from home.
Things to keep in mind
- There is no AC or heating in this apartment so portable units may need to be purchased to stay comfortable year-round.
- There is no clothes dryer in this apartment so you may need to purchase a rack to dry clothes on.
