A 1-bedroom apartment, complete with AC and a fully-equipped kitchen, is available to rent in the popular area of Arapiles. The landlord only permits postgraduates and professionals in the property. Small, but with ample storage, the apartment is located in the former maids' quarter of the building. The door that separated the main house from the apartment is locked and obstructed by the fridge, so your privacy is assured.
This area is ideal for students looking to be close to Ciudad Universitaria or to the Malasaña area. However, this district also has enough exciting activity of its own, with many ethnic restaurants, not to mention low prices. The neighbourhood is also very well connected with buses and trains going all over the city.
What we liked the most
- Despite its size, the kitchen has a microwave, stove and oven
- There is plenty of storage throughout the apartment to help you to keep it tidy.
- The addition of AC will be highly welcome in the hot Madrid summers.
- In just over 20 minutes, you can reach the charming Parque del Oeste, the perfect place to relax.
- There are also many art-house cinemas in this area, perfect for movie fans.
Things to keep in mind
- One of the wardrobes in the bedroom is locked and is for use by the landlord but there is adequate space in the other.
- The apartment is interior but the courtyard is wide, allowing sufficient light.
- There is no private doorbell for the property but it does have its own private entrance.
