Rooms are available to rent in this 3-bedroom apartment shared with the live-in landlord. The apartment includes a fully equipped kitchen, including an oven, washing machine, and dryer. There is also a large living room with a sofa, TV, dining table and views over Calle del Arenal. The bathroom is shared between the 2 tenants' rooms (the landlord has an ensuite bathroom) and includes a shower over the bath.
Transport from the area is easy, with several bus routes operating in the area and Opera Metro station literally outside the door. This is the perfect location from which to explore many of Madrid's historical locations, including the Royal Palace, which is only a 5-minute walk away. Also within walking distance, (amongst many other things) are del Prado and the Botanical Gardens (about 15 minutes' walk) and the beautiful Retiro Park (about 20 minutes).
What we liked the most
- The location is incredible, whether for transport, city exploration, views, or nightlife!
- Not only does the apartment have an oven, which can be rare in Madrid, but also a washer and dryer.
- It is really nice to find a shared apartment with a living room, where the tenants can spend time, and get to know one another properly.
- If you need to take the Metro to work, you couldn't live much closer.

From this location, so much of Madrid is within walking distance! However, if you are tired or need to go further afield, it is also very well connected:
- On the Plaza, outside the apartment, you will find Opera Metro, on lines 2 and 5.
- A short walk down Calle del Arenal will bring you to Plaza del Sol, with the Metro station there offering services on lines 1, 2, and 3.
- There are several bus routes operating nearby, including three from Plaza de Isabel II.
