The rooms for rent in this centrally located 4-bedroom apartment in Argüelles are close to the University City of Madrid, as well as to the Comillas Pontifical University. Entering the space, you’ll find a small vestibule that connects to a long corridor and to the full bathroom, with a tub and shower. There is also a small water closet with toilet and sink. The first door along the corridor leads to the compact kitchen. It’s a snug space, but has everything you need, including a large fridge, stovetop, microwave, toaster oven, and even a washing machine. The shared living room is toward the end of the corridor. It’s an ample size, with a 4-chair dining table, a comfy sofa and chair where you can watch the flat-screen TV, a coffee table and a shelving unit.
Argüelles is a quiet neighborhood, but ideal for students. This apartment is located within a 10-minute walk from the Comillas Pontifical University and only two metro stops away from the University City, which houses the Complutense University and the Technical University of Madrid. You can sleep in and still make it to class! Some say that all work and no play makes for a dull time, so you’ll be glad to know that Argüelles offers plenty of excitement. Whether you enjoy a morning jog or a weekend picnic with friends, you're spoiled for choice, because Oeste Park, home of the fascinating Temple of Debod, is just a short walk away from your doorstep. Cinephiles will love the nearby Plaza de los Cubos, which offers original-language films (a rare thing in Spain!), and tapas bars and restaurants are plentiful.
What we liked the most
- The apartment’s kitchen may be economical, but with a large living area and one-and-a-half bathrooms, you’ll be able to stretch your legs.
- Everything from TV shows to films is dubbed in Spain, so having the option to view original-language films at Plaza de los Cubas is a fantastic nearby option.
- The proximity to several universities and to the University Hospital is perfect for students.
- El Corte Inglés department store and Dia supermarket are both within a 5-minute walk. Convenient!

- The closest bus stop, on Calle del Marqués de Urquijo, is only a minute or two from your front door. It is served by bus line 21, which can quickly take you to Plaza de Colón. The closest night bus stop is on Calle de la Princesa, near the Argüelles metro station.
- Príncipe Pío, on Cercanías lines C1, C7 and C7, is the closest train station to the apartment, at the distance of a 15-minute walk.
