Spotahome's opinion
As you might imagine, this 9-bedroom apartment with rooms to rent on Calle Ferrocarril is a very large space. The front door opens to a large common room with a table and 8 chairs in the center, where you can watch TV. There are even more chairs and also two fridges in this space, as well as a huge chalkboard to leave messages to other flatmates. The kitchen, with large windows, is just past the fridges and storage shelves. It’s equipped with everything you need, including a washing machine. Fortunately, there are three modern bathrooms, so you really only have to share one with another two tenants.
Living in an apartment that you’re sharing with another eight people, you’re likely to have a very vibrant life. This makes living in Atocha ideal, because the area is known for its fast pace. From a drama school to amusement centers with escape rooms and a gym just 5 minutes away, there is definitely a lot in your immediate vicinity to keep you occupied. At night, you can check out some of the local bars or take in a concert at Sala Caracol, or check out the Tilt Billiard club. Within a 10-minute walk, you’ll find three supermarkets. Tapas, pizza and sushi are as easy to come by as the homecooking in one of the many local restaurants.
What we liked the most
- It’s great to have the large open space of the common room where you can watch TV, eat, or chat up your flatmates.
- There are tons of fast food outlets nearby, and tons of small restaurants serving up terrific homecooked fare.
- You don’t have to go far to find a gym, a bar, a billiards room or a concert venue.
- The center of Madrid can be quickly reached with a 10-minute train ride.
