You'll find this cosy studio apartment nestled in the eaves, on the 5th floor of a building on Calle de Moratin. The 15 m² studio is not large by any stretch of the imagination, but it is bright and welcoming, and is a cosy space that will make a pleasant home. There is a kitchenette with a microwave and a sink, a bathroom with a shower, and a single bed. The apartment also has AC.
The apartment is in a superbly central location, right next to the Museo del Prado and Madrid's botanical gardens. You'll be able to walk to Retiro in a few short minutes, and you'll have all of the cafes, restaurants, bars and nightclubs of the city centre on your doorstep. Plus, every shop you could need will be within a few minutes walk, somewhere in the centre or along nearby Gran Via. And, when you want an escape from the city, Atocha station is just a few minutes away too, where you can catch trains all over Spain.
What we liked the most
- There is storage under the bed, to keep the apartment from feeling cluttered.
- The skylight is on an interior side of the building, so there won't be much noise.
- Moments from the house you have one of the most famous art museums in the world: del Prado. (It's free after 18:00 on Sundays...)
- The whole of the centre of Madrid is easy to explore from here, and there are a multitude of bars and restaurantes on your doorstep.
Things to keep in mind
- There is no oven or stove in the kitchenette, but there is a microwave, and there is space for a portable stove if you purchase one.
- This apartment is on the 5th floor of a building with no elevator.
