Spotahome's opinion

This compact studio apartment for rent on Rue d’Abbeville is on the 6th floor. The exterior of the building is beautiful. But it was built a while ago and it doesn’t have an elevator. The front door opens into the small, equipped kitchen, which has a window and a nice view over the rooftops and the city. A sliding door hides the bathroom, which has a shower cabinet. The combined living and bedroom has a wood floor and a skylight. There is a ladder leading up to the double bed. Below, the space is furnished with a sofa and a chest of drawers.

The 10th arrondissement is an ethnically diverse neighborhood. It hasn’t quite undergone a gentrified transformation, so there are still gritty bohemian corners with lots of character. But transformation is happening as younger people move in. Trendy bars mingle with Indian and other Asian restaurants. The Paris College of Art is next door to your new home. Theaters and performance venues are abundant. The Grand Rex cinema and a chocolate museum are less than 15 minutes from your doorstep.

What we liked the most

  • The building is gorgeous and you get a great city view from this 6th floor studio.
  • You get a lot more storage than you'd expect, because there is a cellar and a small attic space.
  • You are only 10 minutes away from the Laundry Self Service.
  • The Metro and train stations are both close by.

Things to keep in mind

  • The studio is on the 6th floor of a building that is gorgeous but has no elevator.
