This apartment is absolutely fantastic. No, it's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Here you are paying for a beautifully realised modernisation of an apartment in a building that's hundreds of years old. The original features are carefully exposed, and accentuated, while the contemporary is inserted with elegance, and taste. It's a classy, beautiful home, and we're certain you'll love it.
You'll be living just moments from the Tiber in the heart of Centro Storico, within a short walk of almost every famous monument, piazza, palazzo and ancient ruin in Rome. Just on the other side of the river is the magnificent Castel Sant'Angelo, and the ornate, imposing edifice of the Italian Supreme Court. There are loads of local shops, restaurants, bars, cafes, and other amenities nearby too, so you can come back down to earth with a gentle bump, (which tastes of excellent fettuccine al funghi porcini, if you land in Ristorante l'Orso 80, just around the corner.)
What we liked the most
- Wow. We love the double-decker living room. It's huge. And it's gorgeous.
- There are 2 double sofa beds, meaning that as well as the 5 that can stay in the bedrooms, you can host 4 guests.
- Just how central is this apartment? Well. It's within easy walking distance of:
- Piazza di Spagna (where you'll find the Spanish Steps)
- The fountain of Neptune.
- The Pantheon
- Vatican City
- Castel Sant'Angelo
- The Trevi fountain
- More churches and palazzi than you could imagine
- And oh, so much more!
- Is that central enough for you?
Things to keep in mind
- Bedroom 2 is quite dark, so wouldn't be a place to spend a lot of time. Fortunately the rest of the property is very bright.
