San Giovanni is unique - it juxtaposes the old with the new. Striking, Romanesque buildings lie either side of modern streets - hardly a cobblestone in site. This neighbourhood is home to the San Giovanni Basilica which is its main attraction. Shopaholics will thrive in San Giovanni - Via Appia Nuova, one of the city’s most famous shopping streets that runs through the centre. If you prefer second-hand shopping, head to the popular market that takes place on Via Sannio every weekend. This well-connected apartment is a 5-minute walk from Re Di Roma metro station.
