The room to rent in this 2-bedroom apartment on Via Francesco Gentile is in a quiet building with a balcony. It’s located on the 8th floor and you’ll be sharing the space with the landlord. The living room is furnished with 2 sofas, a buffet and TV. You do get some light in the space from a sliding door that opens to a balcony with a view. The fully-equipped kitchen also has balcony access. It’s spacious, furnished with a dining table, and includes a washing machine. The only other shared space is the bathroom, which has a shower stall.
Cinecittà is a great place to live if you’re working nearby or attending the University of Rome at Tor Vergata. It’s a 26-minute walk, but you can get to class in 12 minutes if you take the bus. The area is famous because of the nearby Cinecittà Studios. It’s the largest in Europe and only a 15-minute bus ride away. Although largely a residential area, you’ll find a bakery, hair salon, a couple of bars, pizzerias and other restaurants within a 10-minute walk. Shopping won’t be a problem. There are a few small markets close by and the Carrefour supermarket is only 6 minutes away.
What we liked the most
- There is lots of room in the apartment and you get access to a balcony.
- You can walk to the university, but it is quicker to hop on the bus.
- You’ll find a bakery around the corner, as well as bars and restaurants.
- You can take a tour of Cinecittà Studios, and maybe spot some celebrities!
