Calm room with tv in apartment, Monplaisir

Stylish and colorful en-suite rooms with fantastic facilities and all utilities included are available for rent in a social residence hall, situated on Cours Albert Thomas in the friendly area of Monplaisir. This residence hall is a fantastic opportunity for those who prefer to live in a social atmosphere with a common kitchen, living and laundry area. The kitchen is fully equipped, with plenty of space for everybody to cook, with a large counter top and lots of storage, fully stocked with pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. In the same space as the kitchen there is also a shared living area with sofas and a large flat-screen television, as well as games, ensuring you'll always be entertained.

The residence is in a complex of building situated around a beautiful, tranquil Japanese style garden. It is in the area of Monplaisir, on the border between arrondissements 3 and 8, a well connected area, close to plenty of universities as well metro stations, providing easy access to the city centre and other parts of Lyon. Shopping in the area is convenient, too, with Avenue des Frères Lumière a couple of minute's walk away. Here you will find all the shopping you need, including grocery stores, such as a Carrefour Drive and a Biocoop, along with several cafes and restaurants.

Residence features

• Each studio has a pin-code lock on the door instead of keys, ideal if you're forgetful – just don't forget your keys!
• There is a common laundry room with paid washer and dryer facilities.
• Each studio has an en-suite bathroom, a large bed, seating, a desk, a TV, and a spacious built-in closet.
• There is a weekly cleaning service, for both common areas and the studios, and also bed linen and towel change.
• The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, crockery, and cutlery, and also includes:
  • A huge American-style fridge-freezer, with designated space for each studio.
  • An oven.
  • 2 stove tops, each with 4 induction hobs.
  • An espresso maker.
  • 2 dining tables.

Studio 3 – "Confluence"

      Confluence has a floor area of 22 m². This large room has a huge floor space. The room is roughly square shaped, with the large double bed on the left as you enter through the door. The large flat-screen TV is mounted to the wall opposite, with a shelf below for a games console or media device. There is a lot of shelving in this room, which, combined with the huge walk-in wardrobe, with space to hang all of your clothes, and shelving above for other belongings, makes this room ideal for somebody with a lot of belongings. The desk is larger than in the other rooms, and comes with drawers for you to keep your papers in. Behind the desk is a LAN access point.

      The room is decorated in a calm white, with splashes of bright colour around the shelving, and the bed. On the walls are framed photos of movie stars, in homage to the Lumière brothers, pioneers of cinema technology. There is no window in this room, but there are bright lights, and there is an ingenious magnetic reading light next to the bed which we love.

      As well, you will have your own private bathroom, which is spacious, and includes storage for all of your products and towels. There is a washbasin, with a shelf and mirror above it, plus the toilet, and a roomy shower. There is also a heated towel rail, for those chilly winter mornings.
