Big room with desk in apartment, Monplaisir

Stylish and colorful en-suite rooms with fantastic facilities and all utilities included are available for rent in a social residence hall, situated on Cours Albert Thomas in the friendly area of Monplaisir. This residence hall is a fantastic opportunity for those who prefer to live in a social atmosphere with a common kitchen, living and laundry area. The kitchen is fully equipped, with plenty of space for everybody to cook, with a large counter top and lots of storage, fully stocked with pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. In the same space as the kitchen there is also a shared living area with sofas and a large flat-screen television, as well as games, ensuring you'll always be entertained.

The residence is in a complex of building situated around a beautiful, tranquil Japanese style garden. It is in the area of Monplaisir, on the border between arrondissements 3 and 8, a well connected area, close to plenty of universities as well metro stations, providing easy access to the city centre and other parts of Lyon. Shopping in the area is convenient, too, with Avenue des Frères Lumière a couple of minute's walk away. Here you will find all the shopping you need, including grocery stores, such as a Carrefour Drive and a Biocoop, along with several cafes and restaurants.

Studio 7 – "Croix Rousse"

      Croix Rousse has a floor area of 25 m². This huge studio is separated into distinct bedroom and study areas. You enter into the large bedroom, with a big double bed from which you can watch the wall-mounted flat-screen TV, which has shelving beneath, so you can have a games console or media player attached. The bed also has the same ingenious lighting as in the other rooms, with a soft light for in the middle of the night, and a brighter, magnetic reading light. Through a doorway you can find the desk, with a LAN access point. There is also a faux-leather armchair in this area, with another in the bedroom area. As in the other rooms, there is a large, built-in closet in the bedroom area, and a full length mirror.

      From this room you have direct access to the Japanese garden, but be aware that this door cannot be locked / unlocked from outside, so may not be used as main entrance to the room. However, it is ideal for an early morning coffee, or a cigarette break. The room is decorated in a calm white, with splashes of bright colour around the shelving, and the bed. On the walls are framed photos of movie stars, in homage to the Lumière brothers, pioneers of cinema technology.

      As well, you will have your own private bathroom, which is spacious, and includes storage for all of your products and towels. There is a washbasin, with a shelf and mirror above it, plus the toilet, and a roomy shower. There is also a heated towel rail, for those chilly winter mornings.
